Cheese spade from 1842

Price: 1,200.- DKK per item

Length 17.5 cm.

It is stamped The 3 Towers 42 for the year 1842, PRH for Peter R Hinnerup who was Guardian of the silver from 1840 to 1863, a lion for being produced in the sign of the lion, 22 / 7-21 / 8 and a slightly unreadable master stamp. Unfortunately, we can not identify it.

The shovel is finished with a clam handle with a double lined handle. The spade itself is slightly sharp in front so it can cut into the cheese. It is decorated with curved ornaments and a cow and a bull.

It is needle punched on the back with the year 1846.

The cheese spade is in very good condition.
