Tulip glass is first seen in Holmegaard Glasværk's catalog from 1867 and where it is offered for the last time in the catalog from 1915.
They are offered in at least six colors and with gilded decoration, which was offered at double the price, of which these are very rare today.
The glass is mouth blown and with a snapped pontil at the bottom which indicates that the glass is from before 1880.
It is in nice condition with a glass sickness, which is almost impossible to avoid in clear glass.
