Beautifully decorated cup from the early 1800s from French Marc Schoelcher's porcelain factory in Paris. This factory existed 1789 to 1832, where he dies.
The cup is decorated with burgundy background color, shiny gold edges in which is polished what looks like cocoa beans. The bottom of the cup is painted in overglaze with angels there from a fountain drink of a golden cup. The handle is gilded and has the shape of a swan neck.
The saucer is decorated with Marc Schoelcher's classic circles in gold.
Cup and saucer are in good condition with a slight wear on the gold where the cup hits the saucer and some on the edge of the saucer.
The cup originates from a private Danish collection of 1700s and 1800s porcelain.
Saucer is included in the price.
