Mitra/Canute herring server from Georg Jensen

Price: 300.- DKK per item

Length 16.3 cm.
Mitra is designed by Gundorph Albertus, Georg Jensen's brother in law, in 1941. Silver was in shortage during World War II, so the cutlery was made in steel, Georg Jensen's first thing in steel.

The cutlery handle has the shape of a catholic bishops hat, a mitra, hence the name.
