Memorial glass from 1836, cut on Anglais

Height 12.8 cm.
The glass is cut with the following dedication "J. L. G. d. 26. November 1836 fra J. L."
The cut is undoubtedly done by hand and has later been coated with gold. Today the coating is almost gone.

The glass is made of crystal glass and has a nice weight, sound and a very clear color.
However, Anglais is never produced in crystal in Denmark, and it is first seen in the catalogs of Holmegaard and Kastrup glassworks in 1853 and 1880 respectively.

The oblong cuts on the glass is very round in the top and bottom, which could indicate that the glass is english.
