Kpm stands for Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur.
KPM was founded in 1751 by Wilhelm Caspar Wegely and in 1763 taken over by Frederik the Great, King of Prussia, giving it its royal name, a name the factory retained until 1918 when the German monarchy was abolished and the factory changed its name to Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur . The factory was rebuilt after World War II and today still produces porcelain outside Berlin.

During World War I, the factory stamped a number of its goods with the German Iron Cross as a sign of patriotism and support for the war. As the factory, which in large parts of Europe suffered from a shortage of goods during the war, not much of this type of porcelain was produced.

The egg cups are ivory white with neoclassical decoration in the form of relief.
They are in perfect condition.
