Beautiful French plate from the 1800s signed by Jacob Mardouché also called Jacob Petit.

The plate is decorated with the Ruin at Schonberg and the Valley at Engeholle.
This motif was originally made as an etching by William Tombleson, who lived from 1795 to 1846.
The plate is painted in an unusually high quality that we rarely see.
Its edge is with pink background, decorated with oval fields in which birds, fruits and butterflies are painted. Thick gold decorations are applied that can be felt with the fingers.
The mirror is decorated with the ruin itself and the valley where a number of people are seen. Everything is made in a very high quality, note that next to the ruin are painted small birds.
The edge is decorated like a laurel wreath polished in gold.

The typographical plate is in good condition - however, it has a crack on the edge.

The plate originates from a private Danish collection of 1700s and 1800s porcelain.
