Adam is one of the original import services from the Belgian Val Saint Lambert. The imports started in 1891 and production went to Holmegaard in the years 1910-1930, where the glass is taken out of production.

The grinding on Adam is a guilloche. This is a technique where the glass is covered with wax in which small copper wheels run after a defined drawing. Then the glass is dipped in acid and the engraving will be etched into the glass itself.

Rinsing bowls are mentioned in Holmegaards catalogue from 1928, where they are listed to be discontinued.
