Oreste is originally a Belgian import glass from Val Saint Lambert.

Holmegaard enters the first import agreement with this glasswork in 1871 regarding 34 glass series and even produces a number of these in the period 1910-1930, on a license.

Today it is not possible to separate the Danish glass from the imported glass. Oreste has been sold in Denmark since 1915 until 1962.

The glass is made of lead crystal glass and has a ring to it.
